He graduated from the School of Medicine of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (1999), pursued his Residency at the Urology Department of the Hippocrates Hospital of Thessaloniki and did his PhD at the 1st Urology Department of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He completed his Master's Degree in "Clinical Pharmacology and Therapeutics" at the Democritus University of Thrace in 2015. He received the titles of Fellow of the European Board of Urology (FEBU) in 2008 and Fellow of the European Committee of Sexual Medicine (FECSM) in 2012. He holds Accreditation in Urology Ultrasound Practice (KESY 7/2008). He was trained in AMC (Amsterdam, The Netherlands) in Endourology and Laparoscopic Surgery, and has passed the laparoscopic surgery practice certification exams of IRCAD France (Sorbonne University).
He has served as an Assistant Registrar at the General Hospital of Halkidiki (2007) and the ‘Papageorgiou’ General Hospital of Thessaloniki (2008), and as a Permanent Registrar at the 1st Urology Department of ‘G. Gennimatas’ General Hospital in Thessaloniki (2009-2018). He has been in the same Department for a second year as an Academic Fellow, is responsible for laparoscopic oncological surgical procedures. and teaches 4th year undergraduate students. During the academic year 2018-2019, he attended and actively participated in the Teacher Training Course Program of AUTh. He has published many papers in Greek and international conferences, and has been an Invited Speaker at several conferences, scientific meetings and workshops on Laparoscopy. For two consecutive years, he participated as a Trainer in the Urology Specialist Week invited by the Greek Urological Association. He has authored chapters in two books of Urology and has published several articles in Greek and foreign journals. He was a Member of the Organizing Committee of the 7th and 8th Macedonian Urological Symposium, the 15th Greek-German Symposium and the Spring Macedonian Meeting. He was a Board Member of the Urological Association of Northern Greece (2008-2010) and Treasurer of the same Association (2010-2012).
