Liatsikos Evangelos

He is a Professor of Urology and the Head of the Urology Department of the University Hospital of Patras, as well as a Visiting Professor of the Urology Department of the University of Leipzig and Vienna. Since 2016, he has been the President of the European Association of Endoscopic Surgery. He is considered an internationally acclaimed Endourologist and Laparoscopic Surgeon, with a series of live laparoscopic and endoscopic surgical procedures at renowned International Conferences of Urology.
Thanks to the clinical and research work of Mr. Liatsikos, the Endourology Department of the University General Hospital of Patras has been applying the most sophisticated endoscopic techniques in the treatment of benign and malignant urological diseases and has been established as an International Training Center in Endourology organizing a number of international clinical courses on a regular basis, offering an International Fellowship Program recognized by the World Endourology Society. Both from a clinical and research point of view, Professor E. Liatsikos has contributed significantly to the worldwide recognition of Single-Site surgery, Laparoscopic Surgery Assisted by Transvaginal Approach, and the development of Metal Stents in the Urinary Tract.
He is the Author of over 260 international scientific articles and a number of Greek and foreign-language Urology books. He is frequently invited as a Speaker at the most highly acclaimed Urology Conferences. Due to his research activity, he received the "Arthur Award" in 2009 and the title of "Academic Endourology Fellowship Program Director" from the World Endourological Society in 2016.
